I Love Social Bookmarking plugin

I Love Social Bookmarking

I Love Social Bookmarking is a simple WordPress plugin that allows your readers to submit your content to social media services via a clutter-free drop-down list of attractive icons.

What are social media services?

If you’ve not heard of social media sites such as Digg or del.icio.us you should get to know them. They allow Internet users to save and rank web pages that they find interesting and share them with their friends and other users. When your content gets shared with others this can potentially generate huge levels of traffic for your blog. Just what you want, right?

How is ILSB different?

There are other social media plugins that do a similar job. ILSB aims to keep things as simple as possible for both you and your readers, to run with minimal system resources, and to look good whilst she’s at it. The plugin features attractive icons provided by FastIcon.com, is easily customisable to fit your blog’s theme, is XHTML standards-compliant and is SEO optimised by using the “nofollow” tag.

Which social media services are supported?

Currently supported: Blinklist, Blogmarks, Digg, del.icio.us, Furl, Ma.gnolia, NewsVine, Reddit, StumbleUpon, Technorati. More to come soon!

Download

If upgrading from a previous version, you may need to hit the “Reset Defaults” button to initialise all the new features and options.

Installation

  1. Unzip the download file and upload the i-love-social-bookmarking folder into your WordPress plugins directory. (eg /wp-content/plugins/i-love-social-bookmarking/ )
  2. From the Plugins page of your WordPress administration panel click ‘activate’ for I Love Social Bookmarking.

Administrator options

From your WordPress administration panel (under Options > I Love Social Bookmarking) the following options are available:

The only thing stopping me from using this is the fact that the icon/link don’t go where I want to put them.

Wherever I put the code, the always go to the left of the page. Would love to be able to have the ability to do:

Edit | Share | Comment

at the bottom of the posts…with the icon..I like that.

Graeme – I know why the plugin is being forced to the left and there is a reason for this behaviour. Because it is an unordered list it is a Block item. I will fiddle with the CSS and see if I can create an option in the admin for displaying the list Inline for a future release.

Thanks for your feedback.

Cool Plugin… Let me try it out

Hi Aaron,

the plugin is doing well on my site. However as I am noexpert in php, it seems your manual php call is returning a syntax error.

My only suggestion is to have the control if you want the share plugin in the main page or single pages or both.

Also I like to include bloglines as an subscribe option as well?

DT – thanks for the feedback. The php call is my error. Use this instead:

< ?php if (function_exists('ilsb')){ilsb();} ?>

(notice the semi colon towards the end – that was missing before)

Someone else has asked to have seperate controls for where the plugin is called – I will implement this in v0.2. Also, I’ll be adding a few more icon options.

Many thanks.

For some reason my list generated by the plugin isn’t being styled by the style sheet that came with it. I thought it was because it was called style.css and so was my theme’s stylesheet, but I changed the name of the stylesheet and then the code that echoed it to the top of the header and still no results.

Did I miss a step?

JG – Thanks for you feedback. This is a known problem that is happening with blogs that are installed ina directory other than the root (ie domain.com/blog/). I will fix this tonight and upload a new release.

In the meantime, undo any changes to the code you have already made, and simply edit this line (found very close to the top)

// Some global variables
$ilsb_url = '/wp-content/plugins/i-love-social-bookmarking/includes/';

and change to…

// Some global variables
$ilsb_url = get_bloginfo('wpurl').'/wp-content/plugins/i-love-social-bookmarking/includes/';

That should fix it :)

I Love Social Bookmark plugin…

I just added I Love Social Bookmark plugin.
It’s below left of each post on this blog, so you can see how it looks and works.
How is ILSB different?
There are other social media plugins that do a similar job. ILSB aims to keep things as simple as…

the icons are not appearing in my blog only anchor tag appearing

I just added your plugin to a new blog I am just starting, and it’s looking great. The only problem so far, though, is that if I try to display the list vertically, the bottom part of my post (the comments section) occludes it so the last few links are not accessible. I tried using the horizontal display, but it still happens to the links in the second row. I am new at WP and plugins so any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Pradeep – Can you provide me a link to where you are experiecing this problem so I can try and troubleshoot it for you?

Wizo – I can see why this is happening: it is to do with your theme’s style sheet. Try editing your stylesheet and add the following line:

overflow: visible;

Under BOTH #primary and #primary .primaryul.ilsb-menu {z-index:9999;}

Have a play around and see if you have any joy. If not, please let me know and I'll see if I can help further.

Cheers

Thanks for the quick response Aaron. I added
overflow:visible; under
#primary and #primary .primary but it is still not showing. Also, I didn’t understand what to do with ul.ilsb-menu and the z-index thing. I tried finding it on my stylesheet with no luck. Also, I did not want to change too much code in fear of messing things up… Which usually happens when you have a doctor adding and clipping code snippets all over….

Thanks for your help

Hi Wizo

For some reason my previous comment didnt format properly. What I meant was to add a new line right at the very end of your style sheet:

#ul.ilsb-menu {z-index:9999;}

This should (hopefully?) fix things. Failing that, you could manually insert the plugin by selecting so in the options and pasting the small PHP code (see above) into your template files.

I would place it in the “.secondary” DIV just under where the category is listed. Ordinarily your blog posts would be more than one line of text so there should be extra ‘empty’ space in the left hand column area.

If what I’m saying reads like double-dutch then feel free to email me – I’ll be happy to help.

I tried adding that extra code and it didn’t work either, it’s sure gotta be something strange with my hemingwayex theme. So I put it instead manually in the sidebar like you suggested and I actually like it better there.

So it’s working correctly now. Thank you for your help!!

could you make the link block?
#thelink a { display:block; }

Hey Aaron, love this plugin, love the look of it, love the versatility. Way to go!

Now I have a small problem. When I use my blog’s search feature I get this error:

“Fatal error: Call to undefined function: is_tag() in obrag/wp-content/plugins/i-love-social-bookmarking/ilsb.php on line 239″

I have disabled the plugin til I can get this resolved. Look forward to activating it again.
Thanks!

Patty

Thanks for your comment. Yes, this is a bug that will occur in all WordPress installations older than 2.3.

I will try and get a new release out later today or tomorrow.

Aaron

Patty – This is fixed now – please use the new version 0.2.2

Thanks

Hi Aaron – Awesome… Thanks for the help! I will be sharing the Love!

Cool plugins ! Works very well on my blog.

Just two questions :

1) Would it be possible to display it at the top of the post by default ?

2) Bullets are displayed in my blog because it’s a list… is there a way to fix that ?

(Your comments form won’t let me navigate with tab!) Anyway, I thought I’d mention that I had some considerable difficulty getting my Kubrick-based theme to stop putting right-angle quotes in front of my ilsb list items. I couldn’t get rid of them through any amount of styling until I finally realized that Kubrick attaches a :before { content: “”; } style for the benefit of non-IE browsers. You have to reset that, probably in ilsb’s stylesheet, to get those annoying things.

Zhu – Hi, thanks for your comments. In reply to your questions:

1) Yes, this can be made an option in the admin settings, I will implement this in version 0.2.3

2) The ILSB style sheet is having arguments with some theme style sheets, hence the bullets being displayed. I need to investigate this more closely but will try and fix it with the next release.

Nate – Thanks for the heads-up for the Kubrick problem. I had noticed this on my test site so will get this fixed with the next release.

Hi Aaron,

The plugin looks great. I tried it on my blog (blog.jvf.com) and I got what Pradeep got: instead of icons, I had a plain unordered list of text links. I’ve left it up there in case you want to take a look at it.

In any case, thanks for creating this and making it available to us.

James

James – many thanks for letting me have a look at the problems on your site, although to be honest I’ve not really got a clue why it’s happening!

I’ll have to install your theme on my test site to see if I can pinpoint whether it’s a theme issue or whether it’s conflicting with one of your plugins. However, I’m not around this weekend so I’ll have to give it a go next week.

I’ll comment here if I can get it sorted.

Hi Aaron,

If it makes you feel better, I frequently have problems getting plug-ins to work. I suspect it could be the theme as well, I’ll also do some digging myself and report back with any information.

Thanks again,

James

I love the idea of the drop down list instead of a band of icons… but my installation looks very different from yours. 1) I have a block to the left of the heart, and to the left of all of the drop down icons (don’t like that!) 2) the icons in the drop down are not spaced right. Any suggestion how to fix?

There are a many social bookmarking plugins available, but this is now my favorite.

It looks great! Thanks very much for a very easy to use plugin as well. However there are a couple of issues:

1) It doesn’t seem to work on IE7, IE6 and Safari 3 – works great on Firefox, Opera and SeaMonkey in Windows. I am using Wordpress 2.3.1 and tried deactivating all the other plugins and still there was no joy.

2) The layout in Admin on Wordpress 2.3.1 is a bit untidy on a 1024×768 monitor. Looks much better using the SpotMilk Admin theme though.

Love the new version… works like a charm, an lots of great options!

James, Brad and anyone else having stylesheet issues – Apologies for being quiet for a few days, I’ve been away from home for a few days. It seems there’s some pretty fundamental problems with ceratin themes – it looks like inherited styles are over-riding the plugin’s styles. I’m going to have a good look at this over the weekend and hopefully resolve this issue once and for all.

Upekshapriya – That’s strange it’s not working in IE6&7 as I’ve tested it with those browsers. I will investigate. Smartening up the admin panel is definitly on my todo list also.

Jason and Jason – Glad the plugin is working well for the both of you :)

[...] I Love Social Bookmarking [...]

Aaron,

I’ve been experiencing a problem with the same consequences as the CSS one but apparently a different cause. I get bullet points, but it’s because the CSS reference isn’t getting inserted into the header. I’m using the default theme, and I’ve had this same problem with WP-Email.

I know I could just insert the code manually into the header, but I rather that the plugin just work how it’s supposed to. Any ideas?

It looks great indeed, unfortunately I get the same problem as James, only text is showing, no icons, nada!

Aaron > Simply love the plug-in but doesn’t show correctly in my blog. For example, http://www.rusticsikkim.com/north-sikkim-attractions/gurudongmarlake.html Any ideas why? Thanks in advance.

MirciX – Thanks for informing me. I haven’t got round to fixing these stylesheet problems yet because I’ve been tied up with other commitments. My next release (0.3) will be drawn in an entirely different way (using DIVS instead of lists) and will hopefully eradicate these random problems some themes are causing with the plugin.

Dipankar – Again, my next release will solve this. In the meantime you can edit the ILSB style sheet and add:

list-style-position: outside;

to:

ul.ilsb-menu li

This should hopefully fix it. If not, my next release definitly will.

Thanks Aaron. I’m not sure whether I understood correctly (please bear with me) but I changed the following:

ul.ilsb-menu li {list-style:none; border:none;}

to

ul.ilsb-menu li {list-style:none; border:none;list-style-position: outside;}

However, it didn’t work. Just wanted to check whether what I did was correct.

Dipankar – I’m sorry I don’t know what came over me last night. Now that I think about it, what I said won’t make any difference!

Your issue is another one of the style sheet conflicts that a few people have been experiencing. You need to override the ‘inherited’ styles.

I’ve had a look at your style sheet and it should be fairly simple:

If you edit the ILSB stylesheet again and add the text:
#midcontent to the beginning of EVERY style. For example:

#midcontent ul.ilsb-menu ... etc

I think that should work!! Fingers crossed.

Great pligin, better than sharethis and addthis but like upikshapriya it’s not working for me on IE7. I don’t find problems in firefox. Also there should be a way to add your own social webs because there is so many and in many languages. Speaking for my site – wich is in spanish – i would like to add meneame or floreame or blogalaxia but there are many others. For example there was previous versions of sharethis that you could add your own sites but as for now they disable this in the newer version. That’s why i changed for yours which is great. I love the purple heart and the configuration process. Keep up with the good job!

Let me give a shot on this,…as I have tried few but was looking for something different…

Hi Aaron,

I started playing around with some of the suggestions that you listed and I got the plug in to work. I realized that not all of the files got copied over to the server that my blog was on so I think that was part of the problem.

My feedback for the plug-in is that it’s absolutely great. Thanks so much for putting this together, I’ll put a post that links to your site up soon.

Hey bro – Lovely plugin.

But the header in your website is very big. I like the fluid layout, but the header is simply waaay too big ! Gotta work on it :)

Take care, I will install your plugin tonight :)

And happy new year

To help others with the bullet problems: I was able to fix this (and keep bullets from showing) by following Aaron’s advice from Nov 30; however, to clarify this for the less-informed (count me among ‘em) you need to use the name from of YOUR website (which is probably not #midcontent).

For me my center column is called “#contentLeft” so adding this to the beginning of all UL tags in the ILSB CSS did the trick…

This may be a “duh” for many but I’ll admit it took me a few minutes to catch on…

Great plugin. Thanks.

Looking forward to version 3.0. Im having the same bulleted list issue. Your fans eagerly await!

Tiki – looks like the files arent including – have you changed the name of the plugin directory by any chance?

Eric – Cheers for helping others out with the tip. Anyone who is confident with CSS can sort out the bullet problems by preceding my styles with the semantic structure of your style sheet.

Asad – Have you tried Eric’s suggestion. New version wont be until Feburary at least, but I WILL get round to it. :)

Hi Aaron,

Nope, haven’t changed it. When activated I get a not-so-attractive bulleted list on the front end, and the same error message where the options are.

Dying to use your app – it’s certainly the best one I’ve found.

Cheers,
Tiki

Hello,

Hello,

You don’t appear to be but is there any tracking or re-directs via your own server included with ILSB? Alex king has decided to do with his “Share This” plugin and I’m not at all impressed.

Cheers

Cherie – You will need to edit the stylesheet in the ILSB plugin directory. You will need to edit the first line so and edit the margin so that it looks like this:

ul.ilsb-menu {margin:0px auto 0px 25px; ....

Hope that helps :)

Gareth – I’ve tried to keep this plugin as lightweight and as possible – no tracking or redirects.

To everyone else who has been awaiting a new release to fix the various style sheet bugs – this weekend I finish the project that has dominated my life for the past two months. In February there WILL be a new version of ILSB – I promise :)

Great plugin, thanks.

I was wondering if you could offer an option turn off the css file being applied and the javascript hover option and output a straight unordered list – this way those of us who want to style the element ourselves can.

Awesome plug in! Thank you! I think I can give something back too…

For people having the CSS problems with UL from your main style sheet overwriting it on either Kubrick theme or a theme derived from Kubrick (or maybe others that use :before)….

Find this entry in your theme style.css -

.entry ul li:before, #sidebar ul ul li:before {
content: “0BB 020″;
}
delete this entry, it’ll remove those (frankly hideous) >> bullets and ta da… no more >> in the lovely drop down ILSN menu.

Then you’ll need to find any entries that say

list-style-type: none;

and update them to normal bullets as you see fit.

The :before could be in other stylesheets too.

Thanks Again… hope this helps some of you.

Luke :-)

(Nates comment tipped me off – hat tip!)

Can you make one just for regular sites, not wordpress?

I’m sure people would appreciate it even more as it’s a larger audience ;)

I’ve put it on my site and works perfect in FF, but like others, in IE7 I get a Javascript Error.
Line 1, Character 6, Code 0. Syntax error.

I tried finding the error, but no luck for me.
An update would be appreciated :)

can you add googlereader?

Very nice plugin – I love it!

It doesn’t work for me cause the menu is hidden when I try to put my mouse over it. Like in a stupide game. I suppouse it’s something about CSS but I didn’t find the solution. I could love your plugin, If could use it…!

Ok got it to work. But when I use it there’s a javascript error in IE7. However, it is usable.

Great plugin. It’s working perfectly on http://johnjgoddard.com, but on http://articlesofmastication.com and http://dalmatiancooking.com, it’s not working for single posts. I’m going through to see if there’s some kind of conflict in the theme or CSS, but any suggestions or answers would be great.

Hello Aaron,

this is a very neat and nice plugin, but the only problem now is with IE7, is not working… when your mouse over it the menu will drop down but it will not close back up after your mouse moved away from it.

In Firefox, this plugin is working very good. Please kindly fix this issue as there are still many visitors out there using IE7.

Thank you very much for this plugin.

Everyone – Fingers crossed, should have a new release ready on Monday.

Dan – I will look into getting those sites added.

David – You can simply edit the stylesheet contained in the plugin directory. I think that is neater than adding an extra option to switch off CSS.

Luke – Many thanks for the tip on how to solve the CSS isue with Kubrick-based themes. Hope others found it useful :)

mark – Unfortunately this is a WordPress only plugin. I don’t use Blogspot so wouldn’t know where to start in converting it for that. Happy for anyone else to take up the challenge though…

Mark, Roy, Asif – Aware of the JavaScript error. Will be fixed in this weekends release.

seriyoz – Will add a Google option.

Maris – Many thanks :)

John – I believe we emailed. Hope it’s still working fine?

Roy – New release should resolve IE issues.

ALL ILSB Users – At last I have finally got round to releasing a new version. There are no new features in the version, just a rewrite of the code that causes the hover effect. If you are not experiencing any problems with v0.2.3 there is no need to upgrade – this release is for anyone who is experiencing CSS bugs with their theme or browser discrepancies.

This version has only been tested on Firefox so I would appreciate feedback on how it is performing on IE and other browsers. Many thanks.

(for the moment the upgrade is only available through this site – I will update the WordPress repository later)

I love this plug-in I’m glad to see you released a new version to help those who were having problems. Thanks a ton.

I’m having a problem with the new version the share sites are revealed when the site loads and only hide on hover .. then it works correctly. This is using Firefox Beta 3

Jason – I’ve noticed this behaviour as well – it’s nothing to worry about. Your browser has cached the old style sheet – if you refresh a couple of times it should clear the cache and all should work fine. Let me know if you have any further problems.

i cannot get the icons to appear. it just shows text without spaces between the links.

wes – I’m not sure your theme is calling the wp_head() function, which is needed for the plugin to work.

Can you open up the header.php file of your theme and ensure the following line is inserted before the closing < /head> tag:

< ?php wp_head(); ?>

[...] I Love Social Bookmarking [...]

it isn’t in there, but, when i add it, the code simply shows up on the page instead of doing anything.

wes – if you copied and pasted my code snippet you will need to delete the first SPACE character after the first ‘<‘ so that it joins with ?php

Does that make sense? I had to add the space in my comment otherwise WordPress would hide the code.

Warning: call_user_func_array() [function.call-user-func-array]: First argumented is expected to be a valid callback, ‘add_ilsb_header’ was given in /home/insulinf/public_html/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 160

Hey there, I am just trying to add a choice for pownce and apperently I dont understand the steps to do so. I haven’t really ever worked with PHP but I cant imagine that it is so different than anything I have worked with before. anyway is there a way to manually add social sites? so if I say find a good site that isn’t on your list I can add it without having to wait for another release?

Steve – It sounds like you are not calling wp_head() in the theme header.

See this comment here for more details (and the following 2/3 comments).

I checked my header.php file and the wp_head is there (just before the closing head tag)

Any other ideas?

–steve

Steve – I’m not sure why it’s not working then – that’s strange. I suspect that the issue is most likely a conflict with another plugin – probably one that uses JavaScript – Lighbox maybe?

Could you try turning off any plugins that use JavaScript like the lightbox (you are also using some kind of map plugin?) and then test if ILSB is still broken? If you can identify one particular plugin that it is conflicting with then I will try and resolve it.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the tip. I found the culprit – it’s a block of Javascript provided by Chitika to display links on key products/keywords. The code was inserted just below the closing body tag. I can email it to you if you like…

–Steve

http://chitika.com/mm_overview.php?refid=britishbulldog

Steve – Thanks for alerting me of this conflict. I’ve only had a cursory look at it so far but can’t really identify why the conflict is occurring. I will add it as a known issue and try to spend a bit more time working round it for a new release.

Sweet plugin, really like it…! Only wish you’d find the time to add more services…!? Maybe not all of them as in some plugins (http://www.dountsis.com/projects/social-bookmarks) but just a couple more…

Anyway, I tried adding the German service ‘Mister Wong’, but with no luck at all…! I tried several variations, the last one was this here:

’show_misterwong’ => array(
’selected’ => ‘on’,
‘url’ => ‘http://www.mister-wong.com/index.php?action=addurl&bm_url=%BLOG_URL%;bm_description=%BLOG_TITLE%’,
‘title’ => ‘Add to Mister Wong’,
‘anchor’ => ‘MisterWong’),

Nothing showed up though, I guess I just don’t get it…! :(

Also I have another problem: The ILSB menu drops down as soon as I move my mouse on the same horizontal line — even if the cursor is far away from the actual menu…!? See what I mean here:

http://www.nitewing.de/gfx/ilsb_screen-20080502-041919.jpg

Is there a way I can fix this…? I assume the menu should only open when you move the curser directly over it, right…?!

Thanks in advance!

Oops, it’s just gotten worse…! With my current theme it actually opens up _all_ the dropdowns on thw whole page…!? Not just the one you click on (or are close to) but in every single blog entry:

http://www.nitewing.de/gfx/ilsb_screen2-20080502-055655.jpg

That’s pretty weird…

Mile – Thanks for your comments. You can follow These instructions. It looks like you’ve done it correct but you do need to click the ‘Reset defaults’ button.

On your second issue I’m aware of this problem and it’s actually really easy for me to fix I’ve just been a bit lazy. It’s a long bank holiday weekend now so I’ll put a new rease out this weeekend.

“Steve – Thanks for alerting me of this conflict. I’ve only had a cursory look at it so far but can’t really identify why the conflict is occurring. I will add it as a known issue and try to spend a bit more time working round it for a new release.”

Thanks! Enjoy the weekend…

Aaron — thanks for your reply then! :)

I’ll be looking forward to the next release then an meanwhile I’ll try to fix my problem with including other social services…

Hi Aaron,

I just wanted to say how I think it’s great that your plugin fills in the name of the post when you digg something. I have the digg this badge on my individual posts, but I prefer to use your plug-in instead when i submit my own posts.

Great job.

Brilliant plugin. i’ll add this to my blog.

Can you make an option for it not to be a mouseover, and just have the services displayed?

This is neat, I will have to give it a try.
Thanks for sharing this with us!

Wow, thanks for this one, exactly what I was looking for!

Great!

That’s what i’ve been looking for! great. Thanks

seems to work good.
any chance your adding german services as well?

HI there,
Love the look of this plugin however we are using Wordpress 2.0 and I am on a mac.
Just installed the plugin activated etc. and in both Safari 3 and firefox 2.0.0.14 it doesn’t work I’m afraid.
Just get the the heart icon and the default text which becomes a # link to the same page the post is on.
Shame, had to de-activate.
Ifthis could be fixed would happily use the plugin as it really fits in with our website feel.

nice it’s working great
Thanks Aaron

Hi Aaron -
Someone just pointed out to me your awesome Share the Love WordPress plugin. I’m writing to ask if you would consider adding kirtsy to the list of sites accessed by your plugin in your next release.

If you aren’t familiar with us, we’ve been called “Digg for Chicks” by Guy Kawasaki and Mashable and that pretty much sums it up — we are social news for lifestyle topics (and generally topics that would be more interesting to women than what you might find at Digg). We’re growing rapidly as more and more women are introduced to social news.

Thanks so much for your consideration and your hard work making cool plugins. Even if you don’t add kirtsy to the list, thanks for all your hard work making WordPress great.

Hi,
I love your plugin, but I’m having background display issues. I’m using a minorly changed version of K2, and it just doesn’t seem to want to play nice. The background almost seems semi-transparent.

Any way to fix this?

I’ve installed ILSB on my newest blog. Thank you so much for a great plug-in.

I would like to JUST show the heart icon, with no text link next to it. But when I remove the “list title,” nothing appears on the page at all. The list still pops up when you hover on the area, but there is nothing visible in OmniWeb.

In FF, I can see the icon, but the link underline decoration extends well beyond the icon and looks a bit odd.

Any ideas?

I have version 0.3.2 and I installed this plugin but for some reason, when I mouse over the I Love Social Bookmarking Title and Icon header, the list does not stay up long enough for me to select a social network. This only happens in IE7. I think some people on here mentioned the same issue but I have yet to see a fix. Can you help me?

thank you,

I’m sorry Aaron. I download again your plugin and it seems to be working with my wordpress 2.6

Great job!

hi aaron. like your plug in very much. only problem for me when i use it is, at my blog, on rollover one list, it displays all the lists in the page, i mean of all the posts in the page on screen. dont know if that was understandable. hope so.

when i roll over one list, then all of them on screen are displaying. id like to be individually for each list at each bottom of each post.

thank you!

Hi
I installed your plugin and I really like it because it is light and easy. I have just one minor problem:
I need to add a blank line after the plugin because otherwise it will overlay my next/previous posts links.
How do I do that?

Hi Aaron,

Just wanted to say thanks and good job on the ILSB plugin. Out of AAAAALL the bookmarking plugins I’ve tried, yours works the best for my site.

I’m not sure how easy this would be to implement, but perhaps you could add a ‘custom css’ field for us control freaks to tweak :P Personally, I’d like to customize the background image of the hover state.

Keep up the good work!

Hi Aaron,
You know, I must be the happiest person to have your plugin on my site. Please check my site.
There is a little problem and I have no idea how to resolve it on my own.
The icons are getting behind the date picture on the home page. And if you look at the individual posts, you will see that it is getting behind the Amazon Crousel Widget.
Please suggest what can be done to resolve this problem. I need it to show above everything else when a user points to it.
Apart from this, there is another little problem, on the home page, if I point to the plugin, it gives a drop down below EVERY post. I believe, only a particular post’s plugin should give the drop down when pointed to it.
Regards,
Suzan.

Oops, forgot to mention why I love your plugin. As you may see, the plugin’s purple icon with heart looks like part of my site since the other pictures up the top have heart, so kind of your plugin looks specially designed for my site lol.
Thanks for this cool plugin.

Nice plugin! I really like the simple interface and lack of external links or third party sites/services for urls to pass thru. It would be nice to see a list of demos on this page with variations on how it can be used. I would particularly like to see some different versions of layout and icons.
Anyway, my main comment/question is about adding an option in the drop down for email. In some other plugins with this same idea, it provides a small form to send the page via email or even IM/sms.
Is this possible, or do you have plans to add it?
