A very merry Christmas to all!

Santa's hat

It’s been almost a month since I last posted on miLienzo.com and warned you that, well, I wouldn’t be posting much whilst I was going through a busy period of work. It seems some blog-readers prefer not to read apologies and excuses from bloggers who are not blogging… bah bloody humbug to them!

Now it is important for me to take five minutes over Christmas to let you know that I’m still alive and well and continuing to read your blogs as and when I can. But more importantly I want to wish all of my subscribers a very merry Christmas and thank you for the support that everyone has shown over the last ten months since I began blogging.

During the last couple of weeks of my blogging down-time I have been musing over what to do with this blog and even whether I should continue it. One thing that is certain is that the last ten months blogging has proven to be a really rewarding experience and not one that I want to give up. I do however have some big changes in mind.

I’ll save the details of my plans for a new post. For now there is only one thing that’s important: it involves lots of food and drink, family and loved ones, and dodgy knitted sweaters! Merry Christmas everyone – I hope you all have a great few days.

oh, I hope I didn’t offend you, Aaron, with linking to your post from my Musings post? I almost finished my article, but then I came across your post and thought to link to it.
Like I said in my post it all depends on who’s the blogger, and what is my relationship with that blogger. For example, in my case – I don’t mind apology posts from you – I know that you’re sincere, plus you always have some interesting explanations to write about. However, if I read an apology post, say from Problogger or Copyblogger, or an apology with no explanations whatsoever – then I would just shrug off.

I wrote that post mainly because I wanted to find out what people think about the off-topic posts and the apology was just one of them.

But, like you said – today there are more important things to think about – food (gosh, and later i need to think about burning those extra calories), drinks and having fun with our friends and loved ones.
So have a very Merry Christmas and a Wonderful New Year.
Look forward to reading all those new exciting plans you have for this blog next year:-)

Merry xmas to you too Aaron.

Here’s hoping you have a great break, and that 2008 brings lots of amazing opportunities for you.

Take it easy buddy.

Vivien – please excuse my perhaps somewhat coarse wording. I wasn’t offended by you or your post – as always it was an interesting read. I just find it a bit strange that people can be annoyed by bloggers making an effort to apologise for not being around as much as they usually are.

I do understand WHY people might say an apology post is an annoying one to read, but at the same time I personally see an apology as a humbling thing to make and for anyone to get annoyed by that is actually a bit rude.

I guess I’m an old fashioned stickler for politeness ;) Please rest assured I wasn’t offended and I’m sorry my wording above gave that impression.

Have a great new year!

phew… glad you weren’t offended by me. You too have a great new year, Aaron. All the best!

Where are you? Jeez I’m getting withdrawal.

You’ve been getting withdrawal? I’ve been suffering serious Internet withdrawal symptoms… broadband problems!
