Taking a blogging breather…

Feet up

I just wanted to make an overdue appearance on miLienzo.com to say “Hi” to everyone and apologise for the lack of blog activity this past week.

I’m going to avoid all the usual excuses - the truth of the matter is I wanted some evenings to relax, watch TV and generally forget about emails, RSS feeds, and blogging.

I started my new job on Monday last week and one week in all is going well. I’m settled and enjoying the challenge, and very, very busy. This makes a change from the usual situation when starting a new job: a month of bedding in, reading reams of stuff, getting bored and wondering why you took the job in the first place. I’m already up to my armpits in various design projects and I’m enjoying it.

I’ve also been enjoying coming home from work and putting my feet up. The new job does involve some pretty intensive staring at a computer screen so coming home and sitting at the computer again isn’t so appealing.

Fear not though, there are a few blog posts in the pipeline and I’m going to try catching up with my RSS reader over the next few days.

Many thanks for all the comments over the last week: Asgeir, Ronald, Tara, David and Vivien.

Ciao for now!

What an appropriate image for this post. Enjoy your blogging time off while it lasts :-)
Look forward to reading the upcoming posts.

I know the feeling, staring at a computer screen for too long. Great to read that your job is going well, and I agree with Vivien, nice post image.

Ciao for now.

Pleased to hear the job is going well and I look forward to hearing more about the projects you are working on.

Do you have the image in fullsize ?

Btw blogging is tough you should do it only when your heart tells you that you’re enjoying it

Totally sympathise with the need to take a break - which is exactly what I intend to do once Britster launches on the 1st… ;)

Hope the new job’s going well! :D

I know you are taking a breather, but I’d love to have you weigh in on my latest Advanced Operators topic: Is social the new search?.

Cheers for all the comments guys and gals - sorry I haven’t replied sooner, but like I said, I’ve been having a breather ;)

Mr Design for Myspace - Nice name. I get all of my images from sites like iStockPhoto.com - I suggest having a looksy and buying the image if you like it.

Paul - good luck for the Britster launch. Where I now work we were planning on launching on the 1st… but it’s been pushed back to the 7th today - and I think thats a bit optimistic to be honest. You must be pretty excited now it’s crunch time?

Justin - Heading over now… looks like a deep one :)

Excellent!

Thanks mate! We did play around with the idea of pushing the launch back a little, but I just want to get it live now - both to see if it’s a success, and because of the time it’s going to free up for me to get on with everything else! ;)

Have your say
