Great post. Yes I have been getting a nagging feeling especially when my track backs come from my own posts. I was tempted to actually delete the trackback. But it is important as it tells my readers of related posts. So I left it for the time being.

But any ways thanks for the links to the plug-in and hard coding it. I’ll jump on the plugin first before trying my hand coding it. My CSS suck.

actually, trackbacks on my blog have stopped showing up under posts as well. I’m not sure why – I didn’t re-design the theme. I did alter the code to show the trackbacks after the comments (thanks to Ronald), but it shouldn’t cause any problems because I tested the code and it works on older posts with trackbacks.

I’d thought about doing this a few months back, but didn’t know how, so thanks for pointing me in the right direction Aaron.

In saying that, ever since my design change, all the track backs that I know I’m getting aren’t showing up under most of my blog posts. I don’t know why this is, but it’d be nice for the readers to see so they can continue discussion and find out about related blogs.

To be honest I had never thought of the mixed comments trackbacks but you have a point. It never bothers me that much but I can see how it can be distracting from a conversation

Thanks for continuing the conversation. Separating trackbacks from comments is truly an individual blogger’s choice, especially on how many trackbacks/comments a blogger gets.

I never thought of it like that, but it makes sense. I actually had to check what my own theme does. ^^ Another one I personally would add to the list, is themes that show the most recent post in its own frame or with its own kind of layout. Do you know what I mean?
