Epuron advert: will make you smile

Every once in a while I come across something that just makes me smile. Today, courtesy of Ad Goodness, it comes in the form of an advertisement for the German energy firm, Epuron.

I don’t want to give anything away, so just watch it… and then watch it again.

The advert was also a winner at the International Advertising Festival in Cannes this year, picking up the Golden Lion award.

Many thanks for the previous posts’ comments, Asgeir and Vivienne.

Timmy - You’ll kick yourself! Watch it again… and think ‘wind’. ;)

Wait… I don’t get it

Lol. Antropomorphism roXXor.Lmao.
Seriously, genius ad. Love that French wind.

To all the visitors who have come here via Stumble Upon and commented - Thanks for your visit and I’m really glad you enjoyed the ad. It’s actually quite an old post but it’s still a great ad :)

It took me a couple of seconds to get it, but that was a really clever ad!

Thanks for sharing, and thanks to whoever Stumbled it first!

Brought more than a smile to my face…a big grin. What was the funniest (and ironic) was that “American Blonde” did not get it. Talk about stereo-typing!!!

Beautiful :)

Hey that’s amazing! I really enjoyed watching that and think it’s a great way of advertising wind energy!
I wish people near me would not fight the wind farm at Saddleworth. We need more renewable energy and now!

Aw, I love this. It made me smile a lot. I didn’t get it at first but then I read some of the comments and decided to watch until the end. Then I was like “Oh, wait.. that’s cute!” and watched it again. :] I’m showing this to my friends.

perfect. clever advertising for a great product.
All advertising should be like this.

Wow,
That couldnt have been more uninspiring or obvious. Please Euros, I’ve seen funny things often from you this isnt one of them

No need to be an asshole gbac. I also stumbled this and found it quite entertaining.

I’m just happy that Richard Kiel was able to procreate.

Marvelously creative and engaging from beginning to end on so many levels. I asked myself early on if there was some way they could redeem this character in my eyes and make me feel fondness for him in keeping with the music (how ironic was this, anyway?) and felt it was very unlikely that they would even try to turn the audience around. But, I was wrong! Fantastic!

Great!

What a tv ad, very impressive. It funny yet full of emotions.

i didnt get it until the second time i watched it at the end. frign awesome ad, wonderful idea. they were prty smart in picking the person to play “wind”

it was good until the wind part. global warming is just a money making scam. its a scientific fact that temperature changes and sea levels rise and completely cover land masses and will then decrease again (high school geography)

jeff - I suggest you speak to some scientists about your scientific facts and see if they agree with you.

that is so cute! i never imagined that the wind would be a seven-foot-tall man dressed in black! thank you for sharing

and jeff, i think it is funny that you learned about earth space/environmental shifts in geography, which is generally a class about political boundaries and regional sources of capital

WOW.
It’s really sad that there are people like Jeff out there who question the validity of pure scientific fact and only site High School Geography to back themselves up.
I understand being gunshy to every little thing that politions say but, seriously….

Have your say
